The Zoom F8n Pro is a professional field recorder designed to handle complex sound recording requiring multiple microphones and simultaneous audio sources. Its 8 XLR/TRS combo inputs allow for the connection of shotgun microphones, lavalier mics, wireless systems, handheld mics, or line signals. Up to 10 tracks can be recorded simultaneously, including the eight independent inputs and a stereo mix. 32-bit float recording combined with dual A/D converters offers immense dynamic latitude. This allows for the recovery in post-production of signals recorded at very low or very high levels, within the limits of the maximum level accepted by the inputs. For multi-camera productions, the F8n Pro integrates a true timecode system with BNC connectors and a TCXO oscillator with ±0.2 ppm accuracy, maintaining precise synchronisation with cameras and other equipment. Its two SD slots allow for simultaneous recording on two cards, providing extra security during important shoots. The F8n Pro can also be remotely controlled via Bluetooth using the Zoom F8 Control app and used as a USB audio interface for a computer or streaming setup.
