ZOOM H6ESSENTIAL RECORDER

Available for hire in Cannes, the Zoom H6essential is a portable multitrack audio recorder designed for film shoots, interviews, podcasts, reporting, events, and sound recording requiring a compact and versatile setup.

It features four independent XLR/TRS combo inputs with +48 V phantom power, complemented by the included XYH-6e stereo microphone capsule. This configuration allows for the simultaneous recording of multiple external microphones alongside stereo ambience.

32-bit float recording combined with dual A/D converters allows for the capture of a very wide dynamic range without the need to manually adjust gain before recording.

The XYH-6e capsule uses two directional microphones arranged at 90° and handles sound levels up to 135 dB SPL, making it suitable for recording ambience, music, and events as well as particularly loud sources.

The H6essential can also function as a USB-C audio interface with a computer, smartphone, or tablet, while continuing to record to its microSD card.

KEY INFORMATION

The Zoom H6essential is a portable multitrack audio recorder designed to offer great flexibility in a particularly compact configuration.

Its four XLR/TRS combo inputs allow for the independent connection of shotgun microphones, wireless systems, lavalier mics, handheld microphones, or line sources. The included XYH-6e stereo capsule adds two additional channels to record ambience or a stereo source.

Thanks to 32-bit float recording and dual A/D converters, the H6essential can capture a very wide dynamic range without requiring traditional gain adjustment before recording. This technology provides significant security in situations where sound levels can vary rapidly.

The XYH-6e capsule uses two directional microphones arranged at 90° and accepts up to 135 dB SPL, allowing for the capture of natural ambience as well as events or powerful sound sources.

The H6essential can also be connected via USB-C to a computer, smartphone, or tablet and used as an audio interface with up to 6 inputs / 2 outputs, while continuing to record locally to a microSD card.

The standard configuration includes:

• 1 Zoom H6essential
• 1 XYH-6e stereo microphone capsule
• 1 capsule connector protection cap
